Results

What changed.

Interim Executive Director · US-Based Open-Source Technology Foundation
0 key staff lost

In nine months as interim: kept every key engineer, shipped a long-delayed software project and delivered five conferences. The board then appointed me Executive Director.

Situation. The foundation was isolated in its ecosystem, its treasury was shrinking and fundraising had stalled when the Executive Director stepped down.

What I did. Steadied the team and set clear goals, rebuilt ecosystem relationships, revised treasury management to capture a major run-up in the primary treasury asset, and ran two virtual, two regional and one major in-person annual conference.

Fractional CEO · Cayman-Based Technology Foundation
$130M+

In grant treasury administered, plus $3M in unrestricted reserves, by a foundation I built from scratch that now serves five programs.

“[The foundation has] been doing the yeoman’s work on operations.”

Executive Director of a client non-profit

Situation. A US non-profit needed an offshore structure, and I was asked to research jurisdictions and recommend a plan.

What I did. Compared 14 jurisdictions, chose the Cayman Islands, founded the foundation and recruited its board. It has since made 1,000+ bounty payments, each sent within four hours, and 366 grant milestone payments, and administered $8.4M in coinholder-approved grants in a single quarter.
